Every Champion window and door product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of installation. Every dual-glazed unit is warranted for a total period of five years for defects in material and workmanship of the insulating element. Any defective product will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Champion. Additionally, vinyl window and door products are warranted for ten years against defects in material and workmanship of the vinyl extrusions. This warranty does not cover removal, reinstallation, damage to interior finishes, or shipping and handling charges for any defective window or door product. Champion will pay the costs of parts and labor, except that the original consumer purchaser must provide at no cost to Champion any scaffolding or lift equipment that may be required to repair or replace the product (e.g. Because of the height or location of the covered building). Champion is not responsible for the removal and reinstallation of any type window coverings and requires clear access to window or door area before any work will be performed.
This warranty does not cover any products which have been subject to improper installation, lack of annual maintenance, misuse, modification, alteration, including application of window tint and/or visqueen, or damage due to fire, flood, earthquake, soil movement, or other causes which are beyond Champion’s control; damage to the finish due to environmental conditions, including salts, chemicals, pollution, or corrosion; damage to adjacent finish surfaces or structures due to heat or reflective sunlight from Champion’s window or door products; and damage due to the use of vinegar, ammonia, bleach, petroleum, acid or other caustic products to clean the vinyl or glass surfaces. The use of any caustic or oxidizing agent will damage the vinyl window and door products, cause oxidation of the low-e glass coating, and breach the glazing seal between the glass. As such, the use of any such chemical or agent will void Champion’s warranty. For Champion products with argon or krypton gas-filled insulating glass, Champion injects the gas at the time of manufacture. The gradual dissipation of inert gas may occur naturally over time and is not a defect.
